Our extensive hands-on training program covers just about every roof condition you can expect to encounter as an installer for the residential re-roofing and new roofing market. Our training session called “Estimating Parts and Pieces” will also be available for those registrants interested.
Metal Roofing Course Agenda:
Chapter 1: Introduction to stone coated metal roofing materials.
Chapter 2: Theory of stone coated metal roofing installation.
Up to 1.5 days of hands-on field training as required.
Your instructor will walk you through the methods involved in roofing over asphalt and cedar shakes while teaching the installation methods required when roofing hips, valleys, Dutch gables, ridge/rake details and complex areas of installation such as zippers.
Registrants need to bring the following basic hand tools. Be sure to wear comfortable soft soled shoes like sneakers.
- Measuring tape
- Nail puller
- Chalk line
- Wax marking pencil
- Inexpensive Phillips screwdriver
